I’d like to record an audio stream from the net. I’m using a Lenovo Thinkcentre 72e running Windows 10 pro. I’m using the latest Audacity.
I followed the instructions to select Windows WASABI as the host, saw to it that the only audio source was selected (the same source was listed twice) and pressed Record. A new track appeared, but nothing happened on the track.
The cursor did not move and no activity was observed on the input sound meter.
I checked the driver, which Windows said was working properly.
Down at the bottom of the screen was a notification that Recording was under way. I pressed the Stop button and the notification changed to reflect this.
I solved my own problem after looking at another post which recommended that I run mmsys.cpl. Next thing I had a bit of power to see what was going on, and was able to find a new setting for WASAPI that did the trick.
