Can't Import a WAV file

Hi,
I’m having problems importing a WAV file.
I get message ‘The file size exceeds limit allowed and cannot be saved.’
The WAV file is 25mins of audio (166MB)
I’m using Windows 8 and version of Audacity is 2.4.2

There’s something odd about it. 25 minutes of regular WAV is 132MB, not 166MB. Even at higher video standards it comes in at 144MB.

You can get Media Info to tell you what you really have.

It says it’s a:
Wave Sound (.wav)
162 MB (170,470,700 bytes)

MediaInfo should give you a LOT more information. Post it here because there might be a clue in the details.

Can you play the file in Windows Media Player (or whatever application you normally use)?
