Can't get MP3 export to work [SOLVED]

OK, I downloaded FFmpeg_v0.6.2_for_Audacity_on_OSX. But Audacity refuses to find it. No matter where I put it (system library, desktop, Audacity folder), “Open” is always grey when I navigate to it. Further, one of the files Audacity wants (libmp3lame.dylib) wasn’t even in the .zip file.

So I’m back to square one. How do I get Audacity to make MP3s? I’m running 2.0.3 on 10.8.5.

Audacity uses “lame” software to make new MP3 files, not FFMpeg.

Scroll down. This is lame for Audacity 2.1.2. I’m not sure it runs on Audacity 2.0.3.
