My first thought is to make sure it is not quarantined by Defender (or some other security program). Although I can’t imagine why that would be happening on just your computer. If it is a false positive in the Defender database, a lot of people would be reporting this problem.
Well, I don’t know what’s going on but I had changed the extension on portaudio_x64.dll to portaudio_x64.dll.old and tried going into Audacity and it worked.
Then I went back into the program folder and looked for that file again and it reverted back to the original file name (by itself) and still works now.
So who knows. Don’t know what happened. But thanks for your reply.
I have the same error but on lib-ladspa.dll and lib-network-manager.dll. If I rename these files, the program doesn’t start at all, these are needed services. Definitely, this is a bug.
