Cant find the volume for the microphone anywhere

i’m having trouble finding the slider for the volume of the Microphone, is it because i have downloaded a old version and if so then in what version does that feature comes out

So in 3.2, the recording and playback sliders were merged into the recording and playback meters.

Note that If you are using a USB microphone, volumes levels are set external to your computer and these sliders typically have no effect.
