Can't cut audio

I want to cut the silence in the beginning of the audio, but it doesn’t work. Watch this video to see what I mean.

I am using Windows 1803.

I am using Audacity 2.0.5.

I suspect that Windows may be messing with your head.
Try exporting the edited track with a new and unique name, then see if the edited track really is edited.

By the way, Audacity 2.0.5 is pretty old now. The current version is 2.3.0 and is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
