Can't click where I want in the waveform

this file was corrupted and since then i can’t click in the exact spot I want. The cursor lands a small distance away from where I am trying to put it. I tried downloading the latest version

A couple of things can do that:

Select → Snap To Zero Crossings or there is a Snap check-box in the lower left of the screen.

…Or if you zoom-in to where you can see the individual samples you can’t click between the samples because there’s nothing between samples!
