Cannot remove effect on recorded music [SOLVED]

Hello, I’m using the 2.1.1 version with Win 7. I believe it was from the zip files. When a recorded piece of music (say from my tape deck) is played back it sounds like there’s a flanger on it. I’ve tried re-installing and same things happens. Does anyone know how to remove that weird effect from the music ?
