I have been using Audacity happily for some time with WindowsXP but now having a new computer with Windows 7 I cannot record from an online streaming source. The track window shows an ongoing line of silence, appearing as if the recording function is working but with no sound coming in, with Audacity not recognising the sound source.
I have read some of the answers to similar queries and see that some new computers block online recording. This does not seem to be the case with my computer, as I can use other recording programs which I find less friendly than Audacity.
