Cannot Monitor Audio or Record with Monterey 12.3.1 Audacity 3.1.3 - SOLVED

I am using a Scarlett Solo Rev3, Audacity 3.1.3 on a Macbook running Monterey 12.3.1

I can rescan the audio devices and see the Scarlett Solo as a USB device as both an input or output device.
However, the audio does not show up on the monitoring scale and Audacity doesn’t record anything.
Audacity also does not show up as an application under Preferences/Security & Privacy/Microphone.
I am able to see Ableton in the microphone permission window and give it permission to use the internal mic (or the Scarlett solo as an USB device.)
Audacity does not show up as a choice to allow permission.

Any ideas?

I have used Audacity as a quick down and dirty VO recording device on corporate show for many years, but now it won’t work.
Ableton sucks for quick work and I don’t want to buy a working copy, so I wish that Audacity would work!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I was able to fix the issue.
The Audacity icon was at the very bottom of the microphone permission list in the preferences/privacy&security/microphone window.
