Zoom has the option of recording meetings in multitracks and I am using that option for podcast interviews. My understanding is that each participant (there are three in my meetings) is recorded in their own file. I have the plug in that allows me to download the Zoom recording in its original format (m4a) but when the recording opens in Audacity there is only one track. How do I separate the track so I can work on any sound issues for one speaker without affecting the sound/track of the other speakers? Can I download multitracks into Audacity or do they have to be recorded in directly?
Thank you. Based on the info. below what I am downloading is 1 channel (I’m assuming this means 1 track for Audacity to read). Because Zoom states it will record a separate audio file for each speaker I was assuming I would download different tracks for each speaker.
