I made a recording that went a few seconds long. I want to cut the unwanted seconds. I mark the audio and go to “Edit” but there is no “cut” option. (?!). Clicking the “scissors” icon has no effect. How to I remove a marked section of audio?
Try pressing the yellow Stop button - pause is not sufficient. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_editing.html#grayed .
