I am using the latest Mac version of Audacity, 2.1.1 on OS X 10.10.4 and downloaded what I assume is the latest version of the Nyquist Noise Gate.
After, I dragged the noisegate.ny file to the plug-ins folder along with all the other .ny files, I restart Audacity.
The Noise Gate does not appear in the effects list and does not appear in the Effect > Manage… dialogue.
Is the Noise Gate plug-in incompatible with either Audacity 2.1.1 or OS X 10.10.4?

That is (as far as I’m aware) fully compatible with Audacity, 2.1.1 on OS X.
If you have a lot of plug-ins available, you it may be easier to locate the effect in the Effect Manager if you first select “New”, then sort the list by clicking on the “Path” column header, then look through all of the plug-ins that are in the location where you put the NY file.

Yes, that worked. I’m sure I went through every plug-in under Manage… individually - but now it is enabled and working.
