While recording streaming audio using a m/m 3.5mm audio cable I didn’t realize that too high volume would result in a bad recording. The resulting track ended up having a lot of high pitched screeching covering up the sounds. This particular sample will never be replayed and I may have lost my opportunity to have a saved recording. Are there any ways I can salvage a decent sound out of the damaged track? There’s not much you can do about it. Filtering can make marginal improvements, but not a lot.
