I don’t think it’s a poor quality recording. What do you think is wrong with it?

Hello Koz,

Thank you for your answer.
I don’t know how to explain but it sounds like he is in a bubble.

Many thanks,
Best

Your computer (sound card) may be adding a surround-sound reverb-effect , ( which can be switched off ).
If that is the case the recording won’t have the “in a bubble” effect if played on a portable “mp3” player.

Thank you Trebor,

I hear this problem on different computers.
If you put the volume up you might ear what I’m talking about.

Best,

If they are all Windows computers then you need to check on all of them that you have turned all the sound effects off. Most built-in sound devices have effects turned on by default.

What version of Windows? If it’s Vista or later, right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose “Playback Devices”. Right-click over the sound device you are using, then choose “Properties”. Then look for any “Enhancements” or possibly “Advanced” tab.

Also open the Windows Control Panel and in the Sound section, open the control panel for your sound card and turn the effects off.

It sounds OK on my computer.
You could try discarding the right-hand track of the stereo-pair, so the result is a single monaural track , see … “Split Stereo to Mono” , then delete the lower of the two tracks by clicking on the “X” on the far-left of that track.
