Sorry for my English but i’ve posted a question on the French forum but I prefere to create an other topic on the English forum.
When I put an effect on my audio track (a pitch here) the effect works on audacity but when i export the audio track the effect don’t work, so i want to know how to put the effect on my audio track when I export it.
I disapproved your duplicate topic in the French section.
Please see the pink panel at the top of the page and tell us what version of Audacity you are using.
Generally, effects applied to the waveform are exported, assuming you are exporting the correct track. Please tell us the exact name of the effect you are using, what part of the track you are applying it to, and exactly what format you are exporting to (MP3, WAV or so on).
If you are applying a Chain, some effects when used in a Chain won’t obey the effect parameters set in the Chain and instead just use the parameters last used for the effect. Change Pitch is one such effect. In the current 2.1.2 release, Change Pitch in a Chain will never work after you restart Audacity, because Change Pitch initialises at “No Change” settings. When 2.1.3 is released, Change Pitch will remember its settings across sessions.
I use Windows 10 and the version of Audacity I use is the 2.1.0.
I have recorded my voice with ableton and I have putten this on Audacity,
I have putten the effect “changer la hauteur” (I don’t know how is this english for that : “change the pitch” ???).
It work when I play the track on Audacity but when I export the track on the format wav, when I listen this on VLC the effect don’t work.
When you export the track, ensure that you use a new, unique name for the exported file.
Overwriting the original files is not generally a good idea because (a) it’s too easy to get confused about which file(s) are modified and which are not, (b) if the original file is overwritten, then just one small mistake can be disaster.
