Blending Hz

I have a track that is Stereo 44100 and I am trying to paste a track that is Mono 11025 Hz. Obviously when I try to play the combined track when it gets to the 11025 portion it sounds like a mosquito. Is there a way to get around this? Any help is appreciated.

  1. Topic moved to the Audio Processing forum.

  2. What version of Audacity are you using and on what computer and operating system? I just tried this with Audacity 1.3.13 and the 11025 sample-rate track is properly re-sampled to 44100 on pasting into the 44100 sample-rate track.

Audacity 1.2.x does not support multiple sample rates on the same track, whereas Audacity 1.3.13 does. http://audacityteam.org/download/
(just one of the many improvements in 1.3.12)
