It is at least 12 months since I’ve used Audacity and this is the first time I have had this problem. I have updated to latest version. When I used to record the recording moved across the width of the screen and kept continously moving so that what I was saying was immediately in front of me and I could edit it right there. What is happening now is that the recording is contained within “boxes” that stop at the width of the page and the “box” is named Audio Track #1. The recording keeps going but if I want to see it, I have to stop, move the recording along the page until I can see it and then continue on again until it reaches the width of the page and then that becomes a new “box” called Audio Track #2. So I end up with all these separate boxes. Obviously there is some set up I have done incorrectly. Can someone help me please?
This one changed since the last time I had to do it. I think it’s Transport > Transport Options > [x]Pinned Play/Record Head.
