This is probably an extraordinarily basic question but when recording on the UCA 222 with DJ decks the sound in the room is picked up as well as the audio. I assume there is an option on audacity to select where only the noise of what’s coming from the decks gets recorded and not me picking up headphones, pressing buttons etc. Thanks in advance.
You’re not recording through the UCA222, you’re recording the mic built into your laptop. 
Select the USB device as your [u]Recording Device[/u]. (You probably won’t see the exact model name/number but it should say “USB”.)
