AutoSave Remove Errors

Hi.

More often than not, whenever I am done recording something and hit the Stop icon, a series of errors comes up saying that it could not remove the particular project I’ve been working on. Like I said, there are usually a ton of those errors and it often will take me at least a few minutes to get all the errors out.

Is this a bug problem? Is there a way I can fix this problem?

Please note that I am using Audacity 2.0.6 with Windows 8, Pro. and I obtained the Audacity file as an .EXE.

Please let me know. Thank you very much.

There is sometimes some flakiness when Audacity modifies the AutoSave folder. It’s at UsersAppDataRoamingAudacity. I suggest you show hidden files and folders then check if there are any permissions problems with that folder or with Users. There should not be any lock symbols on the folders.

Remove all the files out of UsersAppDataRoamingAudacityAutoSave (there may be a lot of TMP files there).

Then restart the computer using the Win + X menu to freshen resources up.
