Automating Process of Joining MP3 Files

Hi

I have a very manual process that I am trying to simplify through macros, but I can’t see how to do it.

Every week I need to take 50 short MP3 files and combine them into a single new master MP3 file - with a 5 second gap between each clip. The names of the files vary each week. All I can be certain is that there are always 50x MP3 files in the folder.

I am using Audacity 2.3.3 on Windows 10. Is it possible to automate this task via macros or do I need to keep doing it manually?

Thanks!

Can’t you just use a playlist with your media player?

Hi

The resulting combined audio file will then be used in After Effects as part of a video sequence. So unfortunately I need to be able to create an actual single audio file that contains all 50 clips with 5 second gaps between them.

Unfortunately I require a single combined audio file for use within Adobe After Effects and the file requires a 5 second gap between each clip.

You can import multiple audio files into After Effects and position them where you want: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=25&v=BiJxe6GOjFY
