Audacity: 2.2.1, distribution release
I have a track focus issue that appeared with 2.2.0.
I’ve been using Audacity since 2005. Up until 2.2.0, my workflow looked like this:
-
Open Audacity. Record. Stop recording.
-
Track is automatically focused, so I use keyboard shortcuts to work with the track.
When 2.2.0 came along, my workflow turned into this:
-
Open Audacity. Record. Stop recording.
-
Now the track is NOT automatically focused. The focus goes to any toolbar I have open. Which means using the mouse to focus the track first, then I can use keyboard shortcuts to work with the track.
Current Work-Around:
So I’ve closed every single toolbar. Now the focus has to go to the track, because there’s nowhere else for it to go. I do miss the Selection toolbar, though, and would like the ability to have it open AND have automatic track focus.
I know Audacity is capable of this, because up until 2.2.0, it worked perfectly. (I would love to downgrade to 2.1.3, but my system says it’s too old now.)
Any ideas? Is there a better work-around that I’ve missed? Should this be a bug report?
Thanks so much for your time.
