I have been recording tapes into a digital format, but do I have to do it in real time? Doing it in real time can be tedeous, but if I could set a recording to stop after a given time I could walkaway and let it finish on its own.
In 1.3.x there is a new timed recording feature.
In the Audacity Wiki you can read a work-around for how to do exactly what you want, i.e. stop recording after a timed interval.
