audio won't transfer to computer

Hi,
First time here. I’m using Windows 10 and Audacity 2.1.0. I don’t know how to find out is I have the .exe installer or the zip, but I would guess the .exe. I have been recording for a while with Audacity and this same computer and have not had any trouble. Recently it will not play audio on my computer. It plays on Audacity, but only downloads a blank page. I have uninstalled Audacity and reinstalled it. I had my computer checked by the Geek Squad and it is fine. I’ve downloaded Audacity on a friend’s computer and recorded there and it didn’t transfer to his computer either. Actually, it did transfer one time, but we don’t know why. We’ve tried it about 30 times. It might be something to do with my Yeti Blue mic, but it records to the Audacity track, so I think it is ok.

Any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it. This is my livelihood.

Thanks,

Maggie

I can’t understand what you’re trying to say…

What are you recording? From a mic? Streaming audio?

Recently it will not play audio on my computer. It plays on Audacity, but only downloads a blank page.

What won’t play? A website, an MP3? What? Are you saying you can play something in Audacity, but not in Windows Media Player?

and recorded there and it didn’t transfer to his computer either. Actually, it did transfer one time,

What do you mean “won’t transfer”?

It might be something to do with my Yeti Blue mic, but it records to the Audacity track, so I think it is ok.

What? The Yeti works OK, but something else doesn’t?
