Audio-Video Workflow; Combining Audacity and Video Editors

Hi all,

I started using Audacity for cleaning up voice recordings (noise removal, cutting filler words, etc) before dropping them into a video editor (I’ve tried Movavi Video Editor and CapCut but maybe there are better options). The results are ok imho, but the back-and-forth feels clunky:
Edit in Audacity - export - import to video editor - realize I need to tweak something - repeat.

Is this just the normal process, or are there smoother ways?
Or am I overcomplicating it in general? Do most people just stick with their video editor’s built-in audio tools (for voiceovers)? (I mean they are decent, but I find Audacity’s controls more precise for problematic recordings)

Thanks for any time-saving tips!
