I remove hum and background noise with audacity. But now as I save the file as WAV the hum is still there? It sounds great in Audacity, but not as saved audiofile. Help?
Also…any guide for reducing hiss and high “P” and “S” in speech?

Did you try to save the clean work as the same filename as the original? Try a new filename.

Hiss is very difficult to remove because it also damages the S and SH sounds in words. The only tool is standard Effect > Noise Removal. You should be really careful to use a segment of the show with hiss only and no performance or voices for the profile. Audacity will try to remove whatever you captured in the profile from the show. If there is a little voice in the profile by accident, voices will be damaged. They may be damaged anyway.

There is a tool to help with sibilance effects. I need to look.
You picked all the damage effects that are difficult or impossible to remove. You should go to a lot of trouble to stop making recordings like that. You have a broken microphone or mixer – or you could be using them wrong.

There is a “de-esser” tool. The contact info is buried in this post. Scroll about 2/3 down. This poster has some of the same problems you do.
