Audio Playback

I’m using Audacity with Inspire 1394 preamp for voiceovers.
I have a cardioid mic and Sennheiser HD202 headphones.

When I record, I can only hear voice playback in left ear of headset and/or with speakers, not both ears.

Any suggestions?

Which version of Audacity are you using?
Are you recording the microphone onto a stereo track or a mono track (should be a mono track)

Thanks Steve…I’m using 1.2.6 version and recording in mono not stereo.

My downfall seemed to be Vista, but I had all that worked out when I got
my Inspire preamp.

Vista is the downfall of many

I’m not on my Vista machine at the moment, but if I recall correctly there is a setting somewhere in “Windows Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices” where you can set recording in mono or stereo.
