Audio Messed up?

So i recorded the audio on my mac via external HDD then moved it to my desktop. when i played it on my desktop the audio was randomly cut in certain places and moved certain audio intervals in different locations. as a whole it looks like a freshly recorded audio with no errors but when you listen to it the audio is all jumbled up. i even tried to fix the original file but that one was jumbled too. Any help with this? this was an hour long audio and now i have to do it all over again.

Did you try playing the recording on your Mac?

What format?

WAV files should work fine. If WAV files are getting corrupted/scrambled, there is probably something wrong with your hard drive, or you’ve got a flaky USB cable or something.

In general, you shouldn’t move or “share” AUP projects unless you’ve got a really good reason to do so.

And if you’re using/making AUP projects, it’s generally a good idea to also “backup” the audio in a WAV or FLAC file.
