While working on editing a sound file, Audacity stopped responding. I force quit the application and when I re-opened Audacity the sound file that it recovered was silent and this new silent version had re-written the previous version. Is there any way for me to recover my silenced audio??
The file is a multi-track sound file that I was editing, if that factors in at all.
Were you editing a copy of the original sound file? Can’t you go back to the copy and pick up where you left off?
How many tracks and how long was the show in minutes? Had you gotten to save at least one Project before it crashed? Did you save a Project before you started editing?

Missed a step. Are you using Audacity 2.0.6 and is the Mac using OS-X 10.10.x (Yosemite)?
