My old version of Audacity would not open after using it for a couple of hours. I deleted the C:/Audicity folder and downloaded a new version and installed it. I immediately received an error that it could not find audio devices. The program opened but all the the drop down menus for host, recording device and playback were empty. My Sound Forge program still works.
There shouldn’t be a C:/Audacity folder.
