Hello,
This is the first I come here so tell me if I am doing anything wrong.
So I just recorded my voice with a gameplay for youtube and I went into premiere pro to edit it and some moments are cut without me doing it, like if the part was deleted then reassembled. This isn’t the first time and this is also on the raw audio so it’s not a premiere pro problem. It’s really annoying because sometimes i need this part and it makes my audio unsynchronised anymore.
Do you have solutions ?
Nobody knows how to fix it ?
Make sure Windows “enhancements” are turned OFF. They can cause some weird problems while trying to help.
Or you might be getting “dropouts” related to multitasking. Gaming typically uses lots of resources.
Your operating system is always multitasking and interrupting, even if you are only running one application. There a buffers to keep the audio (and video) flowing smoothly in-and-out, but sometimes you get buffer overflow (recording) or buffer underflow (playback) and it can be unpredictable and difficult to solve.
…And you probably wouldn’t want Audacity to take priority and interrupt your game play. (I wouldn’t know how to do that.)
There is a free online book about optimizing your computer for audio called Glitch Free if you really want to dig into it.
thanks for the advices, i disabled windows enhancements and i’ll see if this fix my problem
Setting affinity on Audacity would probably make it stop working. Audacity only uses the first CPU. But setting the priority to Above Normal or High might make a difference. I would not set it to Realtime.
how to set it to high priority ?
turning off windows “enhancements” didnt worked, do you have any other solutions ?
What brand and model of microphone are you using?
If it has noise cancellation, disable it. Noise cancellation may not be kicking out quick enough when you speak, causing parts to be cut out.
