Audio commentary with "box" effect

Hi all,

I recorded an audio commentary with the iPhone in a closed room and the sound effect came as a “box” effect, I can not explain it well:)
Also there are some faint sounds in the background, as a people who speach…

I would like to know if and how you can enhance the “box” effect and remove or at least reduce the maximum noise in the background with Audacity.

I’m on OS X Lion and use Audacity 1.3.13 beta

Now the bad news: I don’t know how to do this “flatten spectrum” thing on Audacity :frowning:

there is no other way to do this without Digital room correction?

You can probably make some improvement by using the Equalization effect to reduce the booming.
