I am trying to export audio files. I have downloaded LAME but it does not seem to mount on my hard rive. After following installation, Audacity can’t locate LAME. I have tried the usual Audacity Preferences trying to locate the LAME library. I can’t find the library so I can’t "point Audacity in the right diction to access the library. Very confused.
Which version of Audacity? (look in “Audacity > About Audacity”)

It is essential that you use the correct versions of both. If in doubt, re-download and do a fresh install.
It is also essential that the download instructions are followed exactly for both applications.
