What is the proper file type to import a Windows Vista - Office 2010 - Power point slide show to massage the audio in the background of the slide show?
You can’t import PPT files into Audacity. You’ll need to give Audacity the audio files themselves which I presume are MP3 or WAV.
I think this is still a good way to extract embedded audio from PPT files: http://labnol.blogspot.co.uk/2006/11/sound-powerpoint-tip-extract-audio.html .
If you edit MP3 files in Audacity you will lose quality because Audacity must re-encode the files.
