Audacity play head stuck at the beginning of the track

Is anyone else experiencing this? When realtime FX are active, the play head sometimes won’t move off the start of the track on playback. I experience it intermittently and others have reported the same problem to me. Also, the audio lags behind the play head on playback when realtime FX are active. I’ll be posting a video on this and a couple of other issues later today at https://www.youtube.com/learnaudacity
I’m on a 2022 MacBook Pro running the latest OS with an M1 processor, 32 GB of memory and lots of SSD space. Audacity version 3.4.2.

I get that, but only with certain realtime VST’s, (not all of them).

IMO you got a resonance problem …
