Hi,
I’m having an issue where Audacity only records the right channel. 2 Channel (stereo) is selected under Recording. It looks like its recording in stereo, but both recordings are just the Right channel. In the pic attached, 15 seconds there is only guitar in the Left Channel, 18 & 19 is L&R, then at 21.5 its just R.
I’ve had this problem for a while, just upgraded to the latest version of Audacity & it still persists. I’m running Win 7, connected via USB to a Pro-Ject Debut III turntable.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

It’s nothing to do with Audacity. You’ll need to set Default Format for the USB turntable to stereo in Windows. By the system clock, right-click over the Speaker icon > Recording Devices then right-click over USB Audio Codec for the turntable. Choose “Properties”. On the “Advanced” tab, in the “Default Format” section, make sure the drop-down menu is set to “2 channel 16 bit 44100 Hz”.
This is mentioned prominently in Recording with USB turntables or USB cassette decks and in the FAQ’s: How can I record in stereo? .

Hey, thanks. I went through the FAQ, and thought I had checked this, but I missed it. I appreciate your help.
