Audacity not responding when applied Guitar Rig 5 effect

I use Audacity 2.1.0 and have been recording and applying Guitar Rig 5 effect with no problems for long time…Now all of a sudden when i apply this effect it freezes and then it says not responding…I have never had this problem with audacity…i’ve tried reinstalling both audacity and guitar rig with the same result…
I have i3,8gb ram pc…its not the RAM or anything…pls help

Are you applying this to longer or more tracks than in the past?

Try reinstalling Audacity with the “Reset Preferences” box enabled (half way through the installer). Then confirm you want to Reset Preferences when you launch Audacity after reinstallation.
