So I just got a new MacBook pro, and I have Audacity 2.3.3 downloaded onto it, but it won’t pickup sound. It recognizes my microphone and the built-in mic on the computer, but every time I press record, I just get a flat line. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I’ve had a lot of “situations” I’ve had to deal with in the past, but I’ve never had Audacity just not record pointblank. Can someone please give me some advice? I included a screenshot of my Audacity so you can see the sad little flat line, and see what kind of settings it’s on. Thank you so much, I’m drowning

I just tried it and it worked, but does this mean that I have to always go through the terminal to launch audacity? When I just clicked the icon, it went back to not recording.
Yes, until Audacity 2.4.0 is released (probably a couple of months).
