Audacity version - 2.3.2
Windows Version - Home 1803
I tried importing 7 seconds of my voice but instead was met with a loud screech noise.
I’ve tried reinstalling the program to no success, too.
The screeched clip is attatched.
Note that the screech clip is EXTREMELY loud.
It can do that when the work is a highly compressed, non-MP3 file.
Where did it come from?
You can set Windows to show you filename extensions and the revelations will probably show that you really have MyVoice.m4a or other format.
If you install the FFMpeg software into Audacity, it will open up many, many different types of sound files.
I think it’s this one…
