A long time ago I downloaded Audacity for music editing purposes and somehow my brother jacked up the settings and whenever Audacity is present my whole computer plays back audio with static. The problem solves itself when I uninstall Audacity. What’s going on? 
I don’t see how Audacity can have any affect on your system whatsoever when Audacity is not running, so what exactly do you mean?
There is static playback when Audacity is on.
Please use more words. Audacity is not a switch - it is not an on/off thing. What are you doing and what is happening?
