Audacity MacOS 3.6.1 crashes!

While 3.6.0 worked flawlessly, someone issued a “fast and furious” 3.6.1 overnight which crashes with the following log:

When does this crash occur? on launch? And does this happen every time?

No after some time: see log “Process uptime: 838 seconds”.
Happened twice.
And now after downgrading to 3.6.0, also experiencing repeted crashes, after some unexpected jumps in transport: selecting a time in the upper bar, starts reading and after a few seconds restarts at the beginning of the file, and finally crashes with this log report: we.tl/t-Ojwox0ABed
Now will try to downgrade to stable 3.5.1

I just started having this issue too. I searched for the audacity config files listed in a forum on how to fix this by deleting them but it’s not happening. When I open Audacity it shows the last thing I worked on and states that it hadn’t been saved. I can skip it, or restore it but that just crashes when I try to play the recording. I created a new track and when I tried to listen to it the same thing.

I just rolled back to 3.5.1 and it appears to be working properly now.
