The audacity icon is not showing on my MacBook
Windows guy here. As no one else as posted here yet, let me suggest that you uninstall, then reinstall Audacity. See here: Install and uninstall apps from the internet or a disc on Mac - Apple Support. You many need to reboot your machine.
When you download Audacity, do it from here: Download | Audacity ®
Thank you so much for responding. On the instructions in the booklet that came with the cassette player, it only said to plug in the cord and I would automatically see an icon on my screen. That’s all it says there is no information on installing other than that. And I will try one of the links that you sent. Thanks again.
Hi there, I have been following the instructions on the link that you sent me but I can’t get anything to open and it says to not double click on the link but it won’t do anything if you don’t double click on it so I’m completely confused. Any thoughts thank you.
So you have me at a disadvantage. According to the Audacity instructions:
- Once the download has completed to your Downloads folder, Double-click the DMG file to mount it.
Again, I am a Windows guy, NOT Mac. Let me suggest you contact the people that sent you those instructions.
I managed to get the audacity app opened up but now I can’t figure out how to convert the cassette on my cassette converter to the app. This is so frustrating. SOS
It only took me five hours, but I figured it out! Thanks so much for sending me the link I couldn’t of done it without it
Congratulations! A lot of people seem to have problems with those Super USB Cassette Capture Devices on MacOS. I’m glad to hear you got it running.
I couldn’t have done it without you sending me the links. You did so grateful that you took the time to respond to my problem.
