Hello.
I am using windows 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1 and Audacity 2.1.2.
The problem is I choose WAV as format for export and the exported file is AIFF.
I do not experience such problem in Widows XP 32bit Home Edition SP3 in Audacity 2.0.3.
What’s the problem?
The file should be OK. It just has the wrong file extension and you can rename it to .WAV.
It’s a known bug and they are working on it. There is similar post here

Thank you for informations, I read that simply typing “.wav” at the end of file name works as well.

Yes…but…
MyMusic.aiff.wav is bad form. It’s covering up an error…with another error instead of correcting the filename.

I meant in the export window, not after it’s exported to aiff.

Ah, yes, That does work. If you explicitly post the extension, your extension will be used.

So, problem more or less solved, summer exams are over, time to mix all those concerts I have recorded.
It has already been fixed when exporting using “Other uncompressed files”. So that fix will be in the next 2.1.3 version of Audacity when released.
