using windows 7, running audacity 2.1.1
when I exit I get an audacity error message
“failed to update user configuration file”
when I re-open audacity I have to reset all my preferences
Can anybody help me with this?
Either Users<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\audacity.cfg is read-only or otherwise you don’t have permission to write to it, or you have a security product on your computer whose real-time scanning is interfering with Audacity.
To check permissions on audacity.cfg, type
%appdata%
into the Explorer address bar, open the “Audacity” folder, then right-click over audacity.cfg and choose Properties. Read-only is at the bottom of the General tab and permissions are on the Security tab.
