Audacity doesn't recognize GVST effects

I just upgraded to the latest version of Audacity (2.0.6), and GVST effects, like GSnap and GChorus (available from http://www.gvst.co.uk/downloads.htm), are not working. I have vst-bridge.dll, GSnap.dll, etc. in the Audacity Plug-Ins folder, but the effects do not show up in the Audacity effects menu. How can I fix this?

About my platform:

  • Windows Vista
  • Audacity 2.0.6, downloaded from the .exe installer

(I also have an older 1.2.6 version of Audacity which doesn’t exhibit this problem.)
