Audacity doesn't appear on desktop when running.

I am using version 2.0.4, recently downloaded and reinstalled after discovering the problem.

When I call it to run it doesn’t appear to open, but according to Task Manager (in XP Pro) it is running.

I suspect that it might be a Windows problem, but has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry, I hadn’t noticed the caveat regarding Windows on the Downloads page.

I have now uninstalled 2.0.4 and installed the test version. Results in the relative thread.
