I have 3.7.3 I am running win 11. In the past Audacity worked then stopped working. Always have a problem so I upgraded to 3.7.3 but when recording from my speakers the wave form does not work this has happened with other versions. I tried a bunch of settings but no go.
What are the symptoms? Are you getting a silent recording?
I assume you are using WASAPI (loopback)? Make sure you’ve selected the loopback device where the sound is coming out.
And the “audio stream” has to start before you can record with WASAPI. It can be a silent stream but it can’t be “nothing”.
