I have follow standard protocol first on iMac select external USB Bose sound system and when Audacity is
Loaded it show that the outside sound system is recognized. Audacity also recognizes the USB microphone
[USB PnP Sound Device], and works well with it when recording. Audacity setting are carefully set in
Audacity preferences. [Transport] Rescan Audio Devices has been activated but the problem persists.

THE PROBLEM

  1. After recording Voice 1(Mono) (Audacity 2.3.3 does not provide a choice to record stereo on the iMac.)
Recording is greatly done by Audacity.
  2. ON PLAY BACK Audacity does not use the external sound system, it defaults to the internal
Sound system of the iMac every single time, and disables the USB Bose System, this is a nuisance because
Even when I accept to use the internal sound system to work on Audacity projects, after a session with
A project, and Quitting Audacity the USB Bose System has been disable, there is a need to
Unplug the USB cable from the computer, plug it back in, and restart the iMac so the Bose
USB Bose Sound Touch System can be available to use with other applications.

This is a 2.3.3 bug report. You don’t have a production problem.
