I’m on wkindows 10 but audacity still keeps crashing…it happens while I’m recording an lp…im using the recent version of audacity…is audacity not compatiable with windows 10 yet?

Check that you have the latest version of Audacity (2.1.2). Look in “Help menu > About Audacity”.

Yes it is compatible, but the sound card drivers must be the correct, up to date Windows 10 drivers for your machine.
If your computer is a branded computer, check on the manufacturer’s website for the latest Windows 10 sound card drivers for your machine (if you are using 64-bit Windows 10 you will need 64-bit Windows 10 drivers). If your machine is not branded, then you will need to use the latest Windows 10 drivers to match your sound card.
If you are not confident about updating the sound card drivers, then your local PC repair shop should be able to assist and it should not be expensive.
