I’m using a Macbook pro and I had an older version of Audacity (1.3??) which worked fine. I just downloaded the 2.0 DMG and the zip and they both crash every time I try to launch them. I running OS 10.6.8. Any help would be appreciated!!

Sorry you have a problem, but this is documented in many messages on this Mac board and in the Release Notes .

If problems persist after disabling plug-ins, please attach a Mac crash report and say how exactly you are launching Audacity. For example are you launching it by opening a file?
